What is an Animoca Mind?
An Animoca Mind is a persistent, fully agentic AI that you launch and control. Unlike standard chatbots that reset after every conversation, a Mind has its own identity, long-term memory, and the ability to execute tasks for you. It acts as a virtual assistant that manages your digital assets, conducts research, and monitors the Web3 ecosystem.
How is this different from tools like ChatGPT?
Most AI assistants, even those with memory, are conversation tools: you ask, they answer. Your Mind is an autonomous agent that can execute tasks and operate in the background without you being present. It doesn’t wait for you to ask. It can proactively alert you when something needs your attention.
What can my Mind actually do?
Minds are designed to move you from speculation to building and strategy. Capabilities include:
- Asset Management: Open wallets, track portfolios, and manage data across chains like Ethereum and Base.
- Monitoring and alerts: Scan for news, price movements, or events you specify, and send you summaries or alerts.
Do I need a crypto wallet to get started?
No. You can sign up with just an email address. Your Mind can manage a wallet later, but it’s not required to get started.

Does my Mind have a “Private Mode”?
No. Your Mind is designed to remember your interactions over time; that’s what makes it persistent and useful. There is no toggle to disable memory. You can instruct your Mind to forget specific information, but we cannot guarantee complete removal from the agent’s context.
How is my data processed?
Your inputs are sent to third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, Google, and xAI, to generate responses. These providers may retain data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We also use services such as LangChain for system management and debugging. As a beta product, our third-party integrations may change.
Is my Mind safe? How are assets protected?
We use a “Glass House” architecture to separate your data from your money.
- Cognition (Thinking): AI processing is paid for separately (e.g., via credit card) and handled by third-party providers.
- Vault (Assets): Your Mind’s wallet is distinct from its AI layer. The Mind operates under safety guardrails designed to prevent it from moving assets without your permission. However, as with all Web3 tools, you act as the Steward and should exercise caution.
Is this the final version of the product?
No, Animoca Minds is currently in Beta. Data handling practices, retention periods, and third-party integrations may change as the product develops. We will notify users of material changes to our privacy policy.
